How does a coaching session work?
First session :
During the first session, you and the coach take the time to get to know each other, to discuss the overall objectives of your coaching, the themes to be addressed to achieve these objectives, the ethical framework (confidentiality, duration of support, frequency of sessions) and your respective expectations.
Next sessions :
Each coaching session is tailored to your needs, but is built around these key phases: welcome and warm-up, definition of the session objective, exploration and work on the subject, action plan and session closure. This framework enables us to maximize the effectiveness of our sessions by providing structured, dynamic and results-focused support.
1. Welcome and warm-up
The coach takes the time to welcome you and put you at ease. She then asks you a few questions about recent events or your state of mind to assess your emotional state and prepare to approach the session appropriately.
2. Definition of session objective
The coach helps you to clarify the specific objective of the session, in relation to the overall coaching objective. This enables you to focus on a concrete, measurable aspect, making it easier to monitor progress.
3. Exploring and working on the subject
The coach uses questioning techniques, active listening and sometimes specific tools to help you explore your thoughts, emotions, beliefs and behaviors related to the defined objective. The role of this stage is to help you become aware of your blockages, your resources and your potential for action and solutions.
4. Drawing up an action plan
Once you've gained clarity about your goal and the elements involved, the coach helps you define concrete actions you can implement to make progress. Together, you draw up a realistic action plan tailored to your needs and abilities. This step transforms your awareness into tangible action, and strengthens your commitment.
5. Closing the session
At the end of the session, you and your coach review the progress you've made and what you've learned from the session, as well as your state of mind. Together, you summarize the actions decided upon and make sure you're ready to implement them.
