Is there such a thing as an expat identity?

The concept of "expatriate identity" is not an exact or universally accepted definition, but rather a general term used to describe the experience of living and working in a foreign country.

As such, the answer to this question is subjective and depends on the individual's experience. Some people may feel they have a distinct identity as an expatriate, while others may not.
However, there are a few similarities between expats' character strengths.
What are the qualities most frequently found in expats?

Open-mindedness : Expatriates must be willing to try new things and adopt different cultural values.
Flexibility: It's essential to be flexible in the face of changes in the job market, family life and new opportunities.

Resourcefulness : It's important to know how to find solutions to problems and identify available resources.

Intercultural competence : Being able to appreciate and interact with other cultures in a respectful way is essential.
